The Youth Red Cross Club of GRV BMA College organized a Blood Donation Camp and Awareness Program on Friday, 17th April 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM in collaboration with Suraksha Blood Center. The program was conducted with the aim of creating awareness about the importance of blood donation and encouraging students and staff to participate in this noble cause.

The event commenced at 1:00 PM with a formal inauguration in the presence of the college Principal, Academic Director, faculty members, Youth Red Cross coordinators, and representatives from Suraksha Blood Center. The dignitaries addressed the gathering and highlighted the significance of voluntary blood donation as an act of humanity that can help save many lives during emergencies and medical treatments.

An awareness session was conducted by the medical team from Suraksha Blood Center. They explained the importance of maintaining adequate blood supply in hospitals and discussed the eligibility criteria for blood donors. The team also clarified common myths and misconceptions related to blood donation and assured the participants that the process is completely safe and beneficial to society.

After the awareness session, the blood donation camp was officially started under the supervision of qualified doctors, nurses, and technicians from Suraksha Blood Center. Necessary health check-ups were conducted before donation, and proper hygiene and safety measures were strictly followed throughout the camp. Students, teaching staff, and non-teaching staff came forward enthusiastically to donate blood.

The Youth Red Cross volunteers played an important role in organizing the event smoothly by guiding donors, maintaining discipline, and assisting the medical staff. Donors were provided with refreshments and certificates of appreciation after completing the donation process. The active participation of the volunteers ensured the success of the camp.

The program concluded at 4:00 PM with a vote of thanks to Suraksha Blood Center, the college management, faculty members, volunteers, and all blood donors for their generous contribution. At the end of the program, the representatives of Suraksha Blood Center felicitated the Principal and Academic Director of GRV BMA College for giving them the opportunity to organize the camp successfully. The Blood Donation Camp and Awareness Program was a grand success and inspired everyone to continue supporting such humanitarian activities in the future.
