Orientation Day 2025

07 August 2025

The Orientation Program for the academic year 2025-2026 at GRVBMA College was held on 7th August 2025 with great enthusiasm and purpose. The event was organized to warmly welcome the newly admitted students and to introduce them to the academic structure, campus culture, and core values of the institution. The program began with a soulful invocation song beautifully performed by Ms. Trisha and Ms. Navya from 2nd Year BCA. Their melodious rendition created a spiritual and respectful atmosphere, setting the tone for the proceedings. Following this, the traditional lighting of the lamp ceremony was conducted, symbolizing the dispelling of darkness through knowledge. Faculty members, dignitaries, and student representatives took part in this auspicious ritual.

The event was gracefully hosted by Ms. Vijaya Lakshmi, who ensured a smooth and well-coordinated flow of the program. A warm welcome address was delivered by Ms. Javeria Naz from the Department of English, who encouraged the new students to embrace this new phase with curiosity, confidence, and a commitment to learning. The audience was then addressed by the Secretary of GRVBMA, Mrs. Poonam Sabharwal, who shared insights into the college's vision and its dedication to academic excellence and student empowerment. She motivated students to take full advantage of the college's academic, cultural, and personal development opportunities. An inspiring message was also delivered by Mr. Munir Ahmed, Academic Director, who highlighted the importance of discipline, dedication, and a proactive attitude. He spoke about the college's focus on nurturing not only academically strong but also socially responsible individuals.

A comprehensive overview of the college was presented by Mrs. Amreen Banu Assistant Professor from the Department of Commerce, detailing the academic programs, placement successes, departmental activities, and a wide range of student-driven initiatives. Her talk gave students a clear understanding of the vibrant and opportunity-rich environment at GRVBMA.

To familiarize students with institutional expectations, Prof. Nagaraj Kini conducted a session on the student code of conduct and college regulations. He emphasized the importance of maintaining discipline, academic integrity, and respectful conduct within the college community. An engaging audio-visual presentation titled "Glimpses of College Life" showcased highlights from past events, student achievements, and the dynamic culture that defines GRVBMA. It gave the newcomers a visual experience of the vibrant campus life they are about to become a part of. The event concluded with a formal and heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Zohra Afreen, Head of the Department of Commerce and Management. She expressed her gratitude to all dignitaries, faculty members, student coordinators, and volunteers who contributed to the successful organization of the event. She also extended her best wishes to the new students as they embark on their academic journey.
