An industry visit was organized by the Department of MBA, GRV Business Management Academy with UG Students on Saturday, 8th August 2026 to Envisys Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Peenya 1st Stage. The visit was coordinated to provide students with practical exposure to the functioning of an IT and product engineering company.
Envisys Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is a leading company based in Bangalore specializing in product engineering, IoT solutions, software development, testing, and consulting services. The company serves clients across industries such as automotive, healthcare, and telecom. The visit began with a corporate presentation by the HR and senior management team. They provided insights into the company’s history, vision, global presence, and organizational structure. Special emphasis was given to the various departments including Technology, Human Resources, Sales, and Project Management Office. The speakers also highlighted the growing role of MBA graduates in areas like Project Management, Business Analysis, and HR within technology-driven organizations.
Following the presentation, students were taken on a tour of the office. We visited the Development Center where we observed agile teams collaborating using tools like Jira, Git, and DevOps. In the Testing Lab, we learned about quality assurance processes and automation testing tools used to ensure product quality. The R&D section showcased a live demonstration of an IoT-based product developed by Envisys, which helped us understand how theoretical concepts are applied to real-world products. They have discussed about the sectors for which their products are utilized and the role of standardization in the industry for quality.
The visit concluded with an interactive Q&A session. They explained that companies today look for "Techno - Functional Managers" - MBA graduates who have both business acumen and technical understanding. The HR team also briefed us on their hiring process which includes aptitude tests, group discussions, and technical plus HR interview. The visit provided several key takeaways. We understood that in IT companies, managers are expected to bridge the gap between technology and business. The importance of soft skills such as teamwork, client communication, and adaptability was also emphasized. Additionally, we observed a vibrant work culture characterized by open office spaces, flexible timings, and a strong focus on learning and development.
Overall, the industry visit to Envisys Technologies Pvt. Ltd. was a highly enriching experience. It helped us connect classroom concepts with real industry practices and gave us clarity on the skills and mindset required to succeed in the tech sector. The visit reinforced the importance of upskilling and cross-functional knowledge for management graduates.
