On 15th April 2025, the students of GRV Business Management Academy undertook an educational industrial visit to the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF), as part of their academic curriculum. The purpose of this visit was to provide students with practical exposure to the operations of a large-scale dairy cooperative and enhance their understanding of industrial processes and management practices. Upon arrival, the students were warmly welcomed by the KMF staff, who provided an informative orientation session covering the organization's history, objectives, and its brand identity under "Nandini".
During the guided tour, students were taken through various departments including milk collection, quality testing, pasteurization, packaging, and cold storage. The visit offered a detailed insight into how milk is procured from rural farmers, processed under strict quality controls, and distributed efficiently across regions. The students also had the opportunity to interact with the KMF staff and ask questions related to supply chain management, quality assurance, logistics, and marketing strategies. This hands-on exposure allowed them to connect classroom theories with real-world business practices, especially in areas such as operations management and cooperative governance. The visit proved to be a valuable learning experience, broadening the students' understanding of the dairy industry and its socio-economic impact.
GRV BMA expresses sincere gratitude to the KMF team for their support and hospitality in making this industrial visit both informative and memorable.
