"Talent is nothing more than a pursued interest"

Ms. Mamtha Rao, an ex-student of B.Com from GRV Business Management Academy from the academic year 2014-17, has been chosen as our next Alumni success story for all the achievements she has had till now.

A sweet and simple girl with hesitation and a slight fear of public speaking and presentations at the initial stages was able to successfully eliminate all the hurdles which hampered her growth, through the help of the platform provided by GRV. She gained so much confidence throughout her academic journey that, she not only became an excellent orator but also pursued a career that takes place mostly in front of the public. "Fashion model and a professional actor".

Ms. Mamtha Rao, during her graduation from GRV in 2014-17 was not just good at studies but was also an extremely talented artist and an amazing dancer. As a student union Cultural head, she was one of the few people who helped in pioneering a lot of programs concerning cultural events in GRV.

Mamtha says that most of the lecturers in GRV supported her in everything she did or took up. That support and help not only helped her in executing the programmes she took up successfully but also gave her moral support and knowledge to achieve difficult and morbid goals in her life easily. After her education in GRV, she joined HDFC bank in 2018. After a few years of her work there she realized very soon that Banking was not her cup of tea, and she was made for something big. Hence, she quit her job as a banker and started her career as a professional model. She has worked as a print model working for ad shoots and has worked as a high fashion model walking the ramps for jewellery and ethnic wear. After her career in modelling, she simultaneously started her career as a teacher at Mona high school and then shifted to Vijaya Bharathi high school where she is working currently as a Science and English teacher.

Along with her teaching career, she still follows her passion and has also acted as a lead heroine in a Kannada movie which will be released by August. She still gives dance performances and does ad shoots whenever she gets time.

This talented individual considers her mother as her inspiration. She believes that hard work, dedication, and most importantly heartfelt spirituality lead any extreme path towards success. She strongly believes in the saying, "An idle mind is a devil's workshop". The one thing she hates is sitting idly. She suggests to all the students that idleness or laziness is a person's greatest enemy. None of the students should indulge in unproductive activities. Time is very precious, and time should be utilized in doing things that add value to our lives. She further suggests that no one should run behind money at the beginning of their career or choose a job by keeping money as their main motive. One should always listen to their heart while choosing their career because if the career is a satisfying one in the first place, then sticking on to it and earning well in it is an eventually confirmed process that everyone will experience.

Ms. Mamtha Rao with all her achievements has made GRV BMA truly proud. Let's wish her the best of luck in all her future endeavours. Let us all draw inspiration from Ms. Mamtha to strive hard and to become extremely successful in our personal lives too.
